Piazza Santa Croce is one of the main squares of Florence, located near piazza della Signoria. It takes its name by the Basilica of Santa Croce that overlook the square.

A great place to hang out and watch the passing parade . There is a Munich market here just before Christmas . Not as crowded as the piazzas closer to the centre of town .

The church from inside us amazing ... Machiavelli , Michelangelo, Leonardo Davinci, Galilee are all buried here ... Worth seeing

Christmas market was fun in December - I imagine it would be a beautiful square in the summer

Often the venue of one off events such as Xmas Market (dec) or chocolate fair (feb) the piazza has a great spot for coffee or a drink outside in the north west corner: Ceasar's bar . Nice view !
