Great 'Haunted ' old pub . Portions are massive and plenty of hidden spaces to sit down. The sausage and mash in a giant Yorkie pudding is a stomach buster!
Food is brilliant although i only had the steak and ale pie .its a meat-arians dream and the old style of the place is a great atmosphere
Ancient higgledy piggledy pub , nothing exciting on the booze front but thoughtful vegan vegetarian and gluten-free options for ya'll. Cute function room upstairs. Great staff .
Traditional crooked pub ! Most tables are for dinning, if you want to experience the pub , go later.
Hidden right out the back of the pub is a great and large decked area, lots of seating and even covered pagoda areas, in case the sun doesn't last....
My friends and I were scolded by the manager as we were handed our food for sitting and ordering food in the front end of the pub . Apps were served with meal and tried clearing before we were finished
A cosy old pub steeped in history and supposedly haunted . The beer is great and the food portions are good value but Gentleman, avoid the toilets , they are rancid.
I'm not a fussy eater but I wouldn't recommend the pie & mash , it took nearly an hour to arrive and wasn't at all nice! On a positive note family next to me had fish and chips which looked amazing!
The chilli is awesome and you get a decent amount of salad with it. Kids food portions are huge! Beer=fab.
Apparently the most haunted pub in York. Great real ale .
Legend says that the squeaky front door calls to the spirits still walking the earth... at least with amount of squeak, it seems that way. ????
Delicious Yorkshire pudding , but do take the name Giant seriously. Enough for 2 people easily.
Great food and live music ! Portions are huge so be hungry when you come !!
Peculiar authentic place. If visiting York, you should drop by. Live music at times
Try the copper dragon if it's on draught .
Food is amazing here, big portions too. I had the Lasagne v. Yummy!
Cracking burger - great taste and sturdy bun so it doesn't fall apart in your hands.
The fish and chips is excellent and enormous
The hot beef sandwich is absolutely delicious!
Unless you have a huge appetite, share the fish and chips between 2
Ghost tours with some bloke from Most Haunted TV are pretty regular.
I recommend the food, very tasty.
No ghosts in here... spirits only.
First time in. Seen a ghost already, no joking.

Superb sympathetic refurbishment done Spring 2013 makes this great historic and welcoming pub score 5/5 in our book. Good beer, cosy nooks and crannies and great Minster views from the beer gardens. - Gazz (Roaming the Ridings)
Staff are very friendly. The beer is reasonably priced and we had toad in the hole for dinner - blooody delicious it was! Would definitely recommend - Kirsten Anderson
Love the windy streets and shops. It is touristy for sure, but a great way to spend a morning. - Saibal Chakraburtty
The platters are great for a light lunch or just to nibble with a beer - Dan Shannon
