Nice selection of core brands and Yorkshire ales definitely recommend, friendly and helpfull staff , good music , been on a Wednesday evening.

Superb sympathetic refurbishment done Spring 2013 makes this great historic and welcoming pub score 5/5 in our book . Good beer , cosy nooks and crannies and great Minster views from the beer gardens .

Great pub with a welcoming feel and friendly staff . We were there on a Thursday night when it was basically 'open mic ' for all local guitarists. Was a great night and we'd definitely recommend.

Characterful old pub accessed via alleyway and courtyard . Nice food menu but real ale selection is disappointingly limited for a city with a reputation for good beers and pubs .

Average pub . I was expecting more local stuff but they only have well known brands. Also, there is no Yorkshire gin ???? A bit touristic , nothing special.
