If you like outdoors museums , this one is your pick! The Norwegian folk museum shows ordinary life and buildings from the entire kingdom. Unique and one of a kind. A time travel and child friendly .
The museum is on a large plot of land; a ton to do and see! Bring your walking shoes and grab a map to make sure you don't miss out on anything.
Best museum I’ve ever been to. Travel guides neglect to mention how amazing it is. I went two days in a row. Reserve an entire day for this place if you want to experience everything it has to offer.
Another amazing museum Ind Bigdoy region. Really huge, with a lot of information and buildings from varying ages. Really worth the visit. Plan to spend at least 3-4 hours to give this museum justice.
Fantastic collection of houses and other buildings from all over Norway through the ages. Well presented keep all interested. Go by boat with a 5 min walk for a complete experience.
Don't miss the Stave church and today he cute little bunnies! Lots of historic culture to be seen here. Don't miss this museum !
Is so pretty! You can spend there the whole morning! Kids will love it too. Go if you can from May to September, few interesting things are closed for the season xxx
Don’t but ticket here, it will cost you 160 NOK, but if you go to the Viking Ships museum first, the ticket for both Viking Ships museum and the Norse Folkmuseum cost 100 NOK, you’ll save yourself £16
Great museum for a rare sunny day when you don’t want to be inside, but still want to go to a museum . The Stave Church is awesome.
Lovely day out, lots to see, lots to discuss with children. Take time to wander around, don't forget your waterbottles.
This place is lovely. I personally really like open air museums , and this one was very good. You get to see what life was like in Norway from 1600-1970.
Really nice museum to visit with good weather. We see traditional houses from all parts of Norway and a Stave Church from the year 1200.
Amazing collection of buildings from all over Norway. Great for young families. Some animals to look at, and rides in a horse and cart.
Both the old and modern village are truly awesome! It is perfect also to make a picnic in a sunny day. Free with the Oslo Pass.
It is an open air museum which reconstructs several villages and farms from Norway in a very interesting way. But unfortunately in early May many of the exhibitions were closed or under restoration.
Came here just 2 hours before the closing; if I knew how excellent here, I’d come in the morning and spend my at least 4 hours here!
By far the best museum in Oslo . If it doesn't rain, just skip everything else and go there. And try to see every single spot!
Must see in Oslo. It's so big you probably won't have to do everything in one visit. So interesting.
Amazing place to learn about Norwegian culture .
Goofy but awesome museum of Norwegian culture represented by artifacts and architecture . Go see the Stave Church , already.
