A great museum covering many expeditions , not only the Peruvian journey. The exposition to Easter Island is particularly interesting. Great for families and kids but also for the adventurous at heart.
Nice museum with a nice history. Impressive statues ! Across the street from Fram Museum . If you are at the island , should definitely visit it.
The exhibition is nice and seeing the raft used to travel across the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking. There is also the Oscar won by the documentary . The museum is free with the Oslo Pass .
Super cool to see the original Kon-Tiki raft . Much larger than I expected! A great museum dedicated to the amazing expeditions of Thor Heyerdahl .
A nice museum which tells the whole story of Thor Heyerdahl expeditions , research works and life story. An exposition is very interactive. If you have teenage kids they should like it.
Charmingly corny museum dedicated to the voyages of Norwegian hero Thor Heyerdahl . Get a combo ticket and check out the Fram ship next door, too.
Very interesting story well told in this museum . Great experience, highly recommended! (unlike the Fram museum next door which isn't nearly as great)
Thor Heyerdahl was an amazing person, and seeing the rafts makes his journeys so immediate. It really gets you on the journey with him. I like the layout, particularly the whale under the boat!
I had Oslo Pass so I really don't know if the price is worthy or not. I liked to read about the expedition journey by raft . There were some interesting and funny histories in how they survive.
Beautiful museum . Very impressive. Played well for small kids. Good for a 1 hour visit. Well worth the Frammuseet combo ticket.
Really cool, but I strongly recommend to watch the movie before visit the museum . Is better to have some ideas before get in touch with all information the museum provides.
Great place for both children and adults such an amazing experience to see the Kon tiki .
Dont skip the visit to Fram museum just next door! Well worth the access fee, or get the Oslo city pass that covers both.
Quite an interesting museum to visit. Especially when saw the documentary and the recent Norwegian film (2012).
you can save your money with oslo card. Or buy tickets together with fram museum - its cheaper
Seeing the rafts make Heyerdahl's achievements all the more amazing. Great curation of artifacts , info and sources. Worth it.
Nice exhibition with interesting stuff on display. Everything explained in an easy to understand way.
My fav Museum that we visited in Oslo
Go on the same day you visit the Fram and the Viking Ship museum . Norwegians are the kings of the sea!
Lovely museum to spend an hour in, awesome content and great storytelling.
Houses two absolutely amazing ships, ra and kon tiki , absolute must
You can pre-buy ferry tickets here for NOK30. On the boat it costs NOK50. No other museums on Bygdøy peninusla seem to sell ferry tickets. We learned the hard way.
A must for everyone! Don't need to be a tourist to enjoy this 😁🎶
The museum is home to permanent exhibitions about: Ra, Tigris, Fatu-Hiva, Kon-Tiki, and Easter Island .Website : http://www.kon-tiki.no
Get NOK 30 off the ticket price if you have a city sightseeing hop-off-hop-on ticket.
It's incredible to see the limits of the human being when fights for demonstrate its ideas ;-) #interesting
Interesting museum about Kontiki expeditions . Nice area on the sea side .
A great museum , also for children!
Heyerdahl was an amazing adventurer who brought also new scientific insights
one of the best museums in Oslo.must visit...
A must see when in Oslo
Just amazing!
Insteresting museum , should be visited
A great history to tell.
The dudes who did this stuff are crazy!
İnteresting indeed but too much text to read and too artificial scenery; not really necessary
Disappointing for the price. Mostly story boards with pics you could get on Wikipedia. Not much from the actual voyages themselves.
Norveçli gezgin Thor Heyerdahl'in çeşitli deniz yolculuklarinda kullandığı sallar burada sergileniyor.... en önemli olanı tabii ki Kon- Tiki...
Gelin. Görün. İsyan edin.
De los 3 museos es el mas interesantes.
Best Museum in the island! Amazing viking ship and history! The museum has 3 ships. It's a small but awesome museum. - Débora França
lots of ship models, few video expositions, few ship rooms of different periods, and much more stuff. Also a nice cafe inside. Get an Oslo card to visit all museums nearby at once - R
Another amazing museum Ind Bigdoy region. Really huge, with a lot of information and buildings from varying ages. Really worth the visit. Plan to spend at least 3-4 hours to give this museum justice. - Alexandre Benincá
Very beautiful park with Vigeland's sculptures. Really nice place to visit by bike. - Renato Fernandes
