The Mackintosh House is a museum Hillhead Glasgow located in United Kingdom.
The Hunterian Art Gallery, (University Ave.) Glasgow Glasgow City G12 8QQ United Kingdom
Attached to the Hunterian Art Gallery , this is a reconstruction of the first home that Charles Rennie Mackintosh bought with his wife, noted artist Mary Macdonald.
The quiet elegance of the hall and dining room on the ground floor give way to a stunning drawing room.
There’s something otherworldly about the very mannered style of the beaten silver panels, the long-backed chairs and the surface decorations echoing Celtic manuscript illuminations.
Worth the visit. 5 pounds
Unique displays of Mackintosh‘ work
Great place! Love the streets with authentic shops and the motorbikes and cars! Also had the spicy tuna Mayo baguette in the cafe - well recommended! - C-j Payne
A small museum full of great stuffs. Totally worth the visit if not only religion, but history is your thing. It is not as impartial as it should be on some subjects though. - Solo Mascarenhas
Great gallery and the Macintosh house is just beautiful. Great staff! - Zampano
A beautiful park in the West End - runners, dog walkers and cyclists alike all hang out here. Very popular in the summer, but a great space to just ‘get away from it all’ - plenty of room for all - Sheetal Revis
