A really neat experience. Ask to sit down in the basement/cellar by candlelight for the best experience for dinner . Chef sampler, salmon topped with shrimp/lobster, and berry crumble, yum!
Food is well-prepared, but sourced from a typical food service kind of place. I'd ask for an upstairs table next time -- the wine cellar is really dark and can feel a little confining.
They also do Ghost Tours ! Highly recommend it!!! You don't have to eat at the restaurant to do the tour .
The live music and fantastic food made for a very special large meal with family.
Shields is my least favorite of the taverns. The garden at Kings Arms is very nice for lunch . Christiana Campbell's or Kings Arms are god bets for dinner .
Food was yummy. Atmosphere nice. Pricey considering portion size. The Rummer was outstandingly strong for my liking. Beers delicious.
Good food, great dining experirence - and we were in the basement !
Awesome dinning experience.
Great food and drinks! Atmosphere is fun for all ages
My favorite place to eat in CW!
Hot buttered rum was great!
Ask to eat downstairs in the basement . It' lit by candles and is cooler than the other upstairs dining rooms.
Free ice cream with the bottomless mug all summer!
Ate downstairs....had wonderful fried oysters !
Nice ambience but not worth the money. The food was not very good and it was overpriced.
The lunch menu has the BEST fried chicken. Love it with a nice mug of nut brown ale. - Roy Blanco
All the food is great! Especially the pulled pork sandwich. Try the homemade root beer too! - Jill Robinson
Came here because we liked the name. Pleasantly surprised by excellent service from Randall, who knew how to sell! My husband wanted to marry the pork shank, it was that good. - Jennifer L. S. Weber
Great chicken bites and artichoke dip to be at restaurants in this area. Worth the trip. - Andrea Menzies
Start your tour of Williamsburg here. Try to get there before 10:30 when they start the Revolutionary City with re-enactors outside. Gives glimpse of life in Williamsburg during revolutionary era. - Mark B
Walk around CW at night is lovely. Family friendly stories. Our tour guide was a little on the overanimated, campy side. - Jennifer L. S. Weber
