Authentic traditional colonial food and entertainment. Go for 3 course meal, portions are moderate. Peanut soup is delish. Beef tenderloin perfectly cooked. Make reservations . Worth the experience.
We dined at their special holiday breakfast . The food was delicious. I had the Eggs Benedict and although one egg was soft boiled instead of poached, it was still delish!!
This place was delish!! We shared a cheesemonger & everyone got something different. My parents sandwiches looked really good, but my Norfolk Pottage Pye was the best!! Service was outstanding too!!
The prices have gone up over my years of visits, but the food is still nice for a tourist trap. I had the chicken pot pie as a young boy on my first trip & I've remembered it fondly ever since.
If your eating here for lunch skip the adult menu and order from the kids menu . The prices are more reasonable, and the servings are larger!
Larry the waiter is the best! try the peanut soup , really good! and Mr. Purdy's home brew is really good!!!
For dessert , don't sleep on the Syllabub. Wine-laced frothed cream, garnished with lemon . Delicious.
The peanut soup was really good! I ordered the game pye and enjoyed it but i would have preffered the meat my mother had!
Get the Peanut soup , the dish of beef , and the peppermint ice cream with chocolate sauce and a couple of pints of old stitch.
Mrs. Votes full course meal is excellent! Each portion was sooooo good -- the peanut soup through the peppermint ice cream !
I absolutely love the root beer here!
Super historic. Try the peanut soup
The peanut soup and bread pudding was to die for
The cheese plate is overpriced and served cold. The game pie is tasty get the brown nut ale to go with it.
If you want to just have a drink go around to garden out back.
The lunch menu has the BEST fried chicken . Love it with a nice mug of nut brown ale .
You'll get a history lesson while your here - definitely worth it. The real tip is to order desert first.
The pot pie is spectacular.
Have the hunters game pie it is exquisite
Game pie , Rabbit , Venison and duck pot pie Mmmmmm mmmmm good!
We had great service, the food was excellent.
Norfolk Pottage Pye is delicious. Lunch in the garden is fun on a nice day.
The bread pudding dessert is to die for!
A Dish of Beef is really great!
Have the peanut soup . So good with the suppers.
Game pye and Mrs Vobes dinner are tops! Also the fudge torte !
BEST PECAN PIE , I have ever eaten!!!!!!!
A mere shadow of its former royal self.
Not a place you will want to take toddlers or kids 5 and under because menu isn’t tailored for them.
Get dessert . No room? Get it anyway. Get dessert .
Try the RootBeer !!! Awesomeness!!!!
The peanut soup is to die for!!
Try the cheesemonger appetizer . Order starry to a meal.
Enjoy the sallie lunn bread it's amazing
The pork chops were amazing.
Try everything, it is gewd ;)
Food is bland and ambiance seems forced like Universal Studios
Awesome place to go back in time!!
Try the game pye it has duck rabbit and deer. Yum yum good
Fried chicken is delicious.
George is the man!
Overrated. They won't take you for dinner if you're a walk-in. They only accept reservations .
