Lovely stay and conference at The Royal York. They catered well for my dietary requirements and the gym is well equipped. Breakfast avocado on toast was delicious as well as the homemade granola

5th floor rooms are huge, but the elevator only goes to the third floor. The steps are not bad at all!

Philip Gaines

Lovely decor people from the lovely city of York will appreciate!!! Any one else use the premier inn 😂😂

Christiane Link

The hotel entrance, reception and green room look amazing. Our room was ok but there was an awful sewer like smell in the bathroom and the hallway. Food was ok but not excellent.

The state-of-the-art health and fitness club treats you to facilities such as a heated swimming pool , whirlpool spa and more.

Kevin Flood

No Air-con in rooms but I suppose that's not necessary up north normally. Really gorgeous architecture though and good breakfast . Parking is charged, which you don't find out before you arrive.

Mark Watts-Jones

Very close to station. Decent if not exactly inspiring hotel generally. Breakfast ok. Rooms at front have views of York Minster and city Walls . 5 mins walk from town centre.

JNET

Two reviewers thought the toilets looked "spectacular". I didn't see what the fuss is about.... Commode is common looking. I guess the sinks are exciting???

Toby Tennant

Great breakfast selection and quality

Adrian Warner

It might be a posh hotel , but you still don't get a plug socket by the end. (or a decent sized portion of dinner )

Philip Gaines

Very nice messroom

Caroline Parker

Wi-fi is shocking - any modern hotel promoting conference facilities should have FREE high-speed wi-fi

Alex Hardie

Great hotel . Very large. Wonderful breakfasts . Convenient for the station as it's right next door

Richard Carter

York Eye is currently in the front garden : expect to be overlooked!

Keith Houghton

The wifi is appalling (ie impossible to connect)

Drew of Drew

For a large Hotel in the modern age the Wi-Fi is appalling

James Koppert

Make sure you check out the posh toilets

Keith Houghton

Great breakfast

Teresa Kingston

Parking is expensive even if you are a guest or attending a conference

Mark Antrobus

You can't park here unless you pay ten pounds to do so. That on top of the room fee.

Gregg Stewart

2Star hotel with 4Star price.

Richard Carter

So-so: overpriced rooms but the front rooms have decent views of York Minster ad the city walls

Richard

Check out the toilets , they are pretty spectacular!

Stuart Sanders

Don't stay here. I end up doing it once a year and it is always awful. This time I have single beds, no double! The Marriott is so much nicer and virtually the same price.

Melanie Black

Parking £2 an hour not happy!

David Mahoney

Black electrical tape keeping batteries in the remote!!

Barrie Morgan

Great for parking

Richard Moore

Proper Victorian traps!

Paul Arrowsmith

check out the toilets
