Lovely stay and conference at The Royal York. They catered well for my dietary requirements and the gym is well equipped. Breakfast avocado on toast was delicious as well as the homemade granola
5th floor rooms are huge, but the elevator only goes to the third floor. The steps are not bad at all!
Lovely decor people from the lovely city of York will appreciate!!! Any one else use the premier inn 😂😂
The hotel entrance, reception and green room look amazing. Our room was ok but there was an awful sewer like smell in the bathroom and the hallway. Food was ok but not excellent.
The state-of-the-art health and fitness club treats you to facilities such as a heated swimming pool , whirlpool spa and more.
No Air-con in rooms but I suppose that's not necessary up north normally. Really gorgeous architecture though and good breakfast . Parking is charged, which you don't find out before you arrive.
Very close to station. Decent if not exactly inspiring hotel generally. Breakfast ok. Rooms at front have views of York Minster and city Walls . 5 mins walk from town centre.
Two reviewers thought the toilets looked "spectacular". I didn't see what the fuss is about.... Commode is common looking. I guess the sinks are exciting???
Great breakfast selection and quality
It might be a posh hotel , but you still don't get a plug socket by the end. (or a decent sized portion of dinner )
Very nice messroom
Wi-fi is shocking - any modern hotel promoting conference facilities should have FREE high-speed wi-fi
Great hotel . Very large. Wonderful breakfasts . Convenient for the station as it's right next door
York Eye is currently in the front garden : expect to be overlooked!
The wifi is appalling (ie impossible to connect)
For a large Hotel in the modern age the Wi-Fi is appalling
Make sure you check out the posh toilets
Great breakfast
Parking is expensive even if you are a guest or attending a conference
You can't park here unless you pay ten pounds to do so. That on top of the room fee.
2Star hotel with 4Star price.
So-so: overpriced rooms but the front rooms have decent views of York Minster ad the city walls
Check out the toilets , they are pretty spectacular!
Don't stay here. I end up doing it once a year and it is always awful. This time I have single beds, no double! The Marriott is so much nicer and virtually the same price.
Parking £2 an hour not happy!
Black electrical tape keeping batteries in the remote!!
Great for parking
Proper Victorian traps!
check out the toilets
Majorly expensive drinks here. BYOV. X
WiFi connection terrible
Food not brilliant at all, at best poor.
Highly recommended pub food. Very nice environment. - mediaese
Relaxing with a cup of tea - Jawharah💎
Lovely rooms, nice staff and a great location, highly recommended - Martyn Coupland
Stunning refurbishment with a great menu filled with pub classics with a twist. Amazing section of beer and spirits too! - Catherine Storey
Lovely hotel and fantastic rooms... Let down by disappointing food in the bistro - Rich Lloyd
One word: gorgeous! The tour is really worth (even with kids). We enjoyed all stories the man told us. - Jordi Ortiz
Really, REALLY good, (like surprisingly good), food from the restaurant in 'Station Hall'. Fresh, tasty and (almost) home made! - Adam Jennings
20 handpumps, mainly a broad spectrum of bitters, but also porters, milds and ciders. The pork pies are to die for. This pub is a must for any serious real ale/craft beer fans - Chris Harwood
