Great Horrible Histories exhibition with real costumes from the Tv show! Lots of free games and things to make and take away, so good of you're looking for something to keep the kids occupied.
Very cosy inside. They do a medieval style tea / dinner for small to large parties which is attractive for corporates. Def recommend for a visit
If you'd rather not pay to go in, or it's closed, go through the passageway at Coffee Yard to see into the main hall through the big glass windows . A fine example of a restored medieval hall.
Superb place to take the kids to learn about Viking York. The ride through the streets is brilliant. - Carl Griffin

Insane brilliance - Eve Champney-Smith
One word: gorgeous! The tour is really worth (even with kids). We enjoyed all stories the man told us. - Jordi Ortiz
Amazing old Street with loads of fantastic shops, especially bakers and butchers. - Giles Farrington
Brilliant views of York and plenty of information to go with it. A national trust site with entry fee that being honest, isn't quite worth what you get! - Martin Mitchell
