Excellent location, across the street from the castle and walking distance to all the sites
Good location for exploring York. Big parking lot across the road which is convenient. There's a decent sized gym and the hotel bar and restaurant is spacious . Breakfast is expensive though
If you love Tex-Mex dishes, the Henry J. Bean's is the place to be. It serves British cuisine too.
So much carpet! The air is very dry and dusty. Good view from some rooms though
£15 for fish & chips , £14 for a burger , £12 for a club sandwich , etc. etc. A bit steep and there a plenty of good places to eat nearby
Breakfast was very good
The rooms are a bit basic for a Hilton, reminds me more of a modern Travelodge than a Hilton but the service is great
Good breakfast buffet
Hog roast round the corner Is fantastic and open till 1am Fri and Sat
The cocktail waiter in the bar is brilliant!
Small lounge , below average food and coffee
Breakfast room / restaurant has the worst acoustics of any restaurant I ever visited .
The night porter is gorgeous but don't try to pull him if your a man. Didn't end well .
Taxi service is appalling - always late!
Hampton is so much better!
£18/day to park ! The hotel justifies it by saying they're cheaper than the lot across the street, but with the lack of amenities this "4-star" hotel has, you'd think they'd make it complimentary .
The hot water can take 10-15 minutes to come through
No minibar. 4 quid tray charge! Bring your own wine for room.
Breakfast is pretty good but avoid the scrambled egg which tastes of nothing.
Aged inside. Mediocre staff .
Pricey grotb flicks ...
Cafe bar good for business meetings, excellent riverside view, feels discreet - Nik Morris
Excellent choice of food. I had the risotto, special of the day. Presentation was fab. - Kate Wooding
Probably best hotel experience ever for me. Fabulous staff. Amazing building. Comfy rooms. - Mariko Tamaki
Brilliant views of York and plenty of information to go with it. A national trust site with entry fee that being honest, isn't quite worth what you get! - Martin Mitchell
Beautiful and large carhedral. Lots of people made a long queue in cold winter night to watch Christmas Carol there! - Vivi Wiguna
Superb place to take the kids to learn about Viking York. The ride through the streets is brilliant. - Carl Griffin
